Residential Complex Care
24-hour nursing care and resident services are provided to 196 residents with varied medical conditions, physical disabilities, and levels of mental competence. Nurses, care aides, activity aides, chaplain and support staff all work together to provide a coordinated program of services based on individual care plans. As much as possible Menno Home seeks to preserve a home-like atmosphere.

West-1 and West-2 floors include many residents who are frail but cognitively well. The inner courtyard is easily accessible to these residents, providing a park-like setting of trees, water fountain, flowers and paved walking paths.

East-1 and East 2 are primarily dementia care floors, with specially trained staff and the necessary equipment, furnishings and secured exits to provide a safe, comfortable environment. Both have enclosed outdoor areas next to the day lounges.

Special Care Unit
East-1 includes a 39-bed Special Care Unit for residents suffering from severe dementia and requiring higher levels of supervision. This Unit has a separate resident lounge together with an indoor and outdoor "wandering loop" and garden area specifically designed for persons with Alzheimer’s disease.

Short-stay bed
One of our 196 beds is for "Respite Care". This is a short-stay bed, usually two weeks per stay for persons in the community whose caregivers (often family members) require temporary respite relief.

Admissions
All admissions are arranged through the Fraser Health Authority’s Home Health office. Tel: 604-556-5000
