MBS Board
Menno Home

The MBS Board is comprised of twelve directors elected by the Society at its Annual General Meeting. In accordance with our Bylaws, all directors are members of MBS as well as members of a Mennonite church in BC. The men and women currently serving on our Board come from communities throughout Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Together they represent a wealth of experience, including backgrounds in business, construction, property development, regional health administration, nursing, public service, and social work.

Our directors' individual length of service ranges up to 17 years, with combined Board experience totaling over 80 years. The addition of new members, together with the willingness of experienced directors to continue serving, has allowed the Board to function with the benefit of both innovation and continuity. With a pervading sense of faith in God, compassion for our residents, and respect for each other and the staff, the Board of Directors is committed to carrying forward the vision that began in 1953, investing energy and resources to help those needing shelter and care, thus fulfilling the mission of the Mennonite Benevolent Society.
